Greetings, I am Farrah Frizzell, an young aspiring dog handler with a rich history of working with canines that dates back to my childhood. My introduction to the sport was through attending dog shows with my grandparents, respected Shetland sheepdog breeders Len & Jean Cormier. This early exposure paved the way for my involvement in junior handling.
As I continue to learn my current knowledge has been refined through mentorship from industry leaders and hands-on experience with different breeds.
My past and current mentors include notable professionals in the dog show industry, such as Alison Alexander, who I worked under as a child. I also learned from Todd Foley, Terri Lee Foley, and Susan Dugas, who taught me about various breeds including Boxers, Gordon Setters, Beagles, etc. As a young adult, I work with Bonnie Fisher from my home town and used to work with Jean Hargis in California. From there I met Judi Elford and received my first Samoyed. I also had the opportunity to work with and learn from Jennifer Remazki, Joanna Leigh Parker-Ross, Brian & Linda Read, and Kelly Tonkin, among other breeders.
My journey to becoming who I am today has been marked by several notable achievements, including the Junior Sportsmanship Award in 2010, Zone 2 title in 2012 as the youngest recipient ever. I also received the Reserve Zone 2 award in 2011 and 2013, and was named the junior over
rall winner of the Golden Retriever Maritime Club and Golden Retriever Club of Canada in 2011 and 2013, respectively. Additional wins include the Chow Chow National BOS and BPISS titles in 2017, as well as the first BPIS award in 2017. Through hard work and amazing dogs our teamwork has lead to multiple group placements from the age of 7 to present. To cap off my achievements, I received a RBIS award with a Chow (Layla) in 2024.
